Abstract

Over the past several years, researchers and educators have reiterated that no two students are identical in their learning process and that they vary in how they approach classroom learning. The necessity for the educator to present information in a completely different light to reach each student has tremendously been highlighted. Icebreakers, warmers, and energizers are activities that can be used to reach all learners in EFL classrooms. They can even get to those who have a distinct and definable way of engaging in the learning process, making the class more favorable before entering into the core subjects. The favoring situation will be more effective in helping students achieve the learning outcomes. This paper shows the advantages of the experience acquired in the use of icebreakers, warmers, and energizers with the first-year students of the English Language Teaching Department at Tishk International University. The outcomes of this research support and add to the literature that the activities develop great connections between the teacher and learners over time and make a difference in the learning environment.
