Two different groups of learners who are at the same level were chosen for the study. The participants were selected from the first-grade foundation course. There were 25 students in each class. The biology class was assigned as the control group and the physics class as the experimental group for the study. In the control group, traditional methods of reading activities were used; and, in the experimental group, collaborative strategic reading activities were used. In the study, pre-test and post-test were used to test the participants and the questioners gave to the experimental group for measuring student’s perception. Both groups were given the same tests. Before the beginning of the study, a pre-test was administered to both groups to check whether the learners were similar. At the end of the study, a post-test was administered to check what they had learned. As the data gathered from the experiments were analyzed, the findings of the research revealed that there is a significant difference between the groups in terms of the collaborative strategic reading that enhances the students’ reading comprehension.
