Abstract
Environmental legislation serves as the legal foundation regulating environmental protection and establishing controls and policies to mitigate pollution and climate change. In this context, the role of administrative courts is to ensure the effective implementation of these laws. They oversee government entities and ensure their compliance with climate regulations, while also safeguarding the rights of individuals and communities affected by environmental changes. Administrative courts play a crucial role in imposing penalties on activities that harm the environment and in reinforcing the principle of environmental responsibility. Additionally, they work to balance the requirements of economic development with the protection of natural resources to ensure sustainable development, issuing rulings that guide towards stricter policies in combating climate change.
