Abstract
Climate change is one of the most prominent problems facing the world today, and its effects and the issues related to this problem are expanding significantly day by day. Although climate change is a natural problem, it has taken on economic, political, security, legal, and social dimensions, as its impact has grown beyond being merely a natural phenomenon.
Due to climate change and the unprecedented rise in global temperatures, the ice in the North and South Poles has started to melt significantly, leading to a rise in sea and ocean levels worldwide. This problem has put coastal areas and islands at risk of submersion, which could create major problems between countries that international law may be unable to resolve. This is because international law has not yet addressed or referred to these new problems, such as the disappearance of countries and the changing shapes and borders of nations.
