Abstract
The study is presenting the problems that school children may encounter on a daily basis as a result of the modern lifestyle. This phenomenon can be observed in the education process on a daily basis in schools. It is associated with many factors, including coexisting mental disorders in children, such as childhood autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, or depression. These disorders have various causes, including genetic, environmental, and lifestyle, as well as those resulting from individual factors. Research conducted as part of the Implementing Mental Health Promotion Action project by Eva Jané-Llopis and Peter Anderson shows that mental illness contributes to high mortality among children and adolescents more often than other diseases. In Polish schools, there is a significant increase in the number of students with developmental disorders and difficulties, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is one of the most common mental disorders in childhood. It can be concluded that every teacher has, or soon will have a child in their class with this disorder. This makes the study important with both theoretical and practical goals. This study focuses specifically on the problem of attention deficit disorder, which is a significant burden not only for the child themselves but also for the school community where they spend a long hour of daytime. Therefore, the research concept undertaken here is extremely important in the context of the proper functioning of the child at school, at home, and in society. The paper presents the possibility of using neurofeedback therapy to diagnose the problem of attention deficit disorder. The conclusions from these studies can be used to decide on the purposefulness of these studies in Polish schools and to conduct effective therapy.
