Abdulrahman Sedeeq
Head of the Environment Board in the Kurdistan Regional Government
Mr. Abdulrahman Sedeeq earned his degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Mosul in 1989. His background in civil engineering provided a strong foundation for his later work in environmental conservation and public service.
In 1992 he was a Head of the Green Kurdistan Association, Mr. Sedeeq played a significant role in promoting environmental awareness and conservation efforts in the Kurdistan Region. The association was one of the pioneering environmental organizations in the region, focusing on initiatives to protect natural resources, reforestation, and sustainable development.
From 2003-2004, Mr. Sedeeq was appointed as the first Minister of Environment in Iraq after the fall of Saddam Hussein’s regime. His tenure was marked by efforts to rebuild the country’s environmental governance structures, addressing issues such as pollution, environmental degradation, and the establishment of policies to protect Iraq’s natural environment during a time of significant political and social upheaval.
Since 2020, he is a Head of the Environment Board in the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), Mr. Sedeeq is responsible for overseeing environmental policy and regulation within the Kurdistan Region. His work includes addressing challenges such as waste management, air and water quality, and the preservation of biodiversity. Under his leadership, the board has focused on creating sustainable development policies that align with both regional and international environmental standards.
Prof. hab.dr. Wojciech Drożdż
Professor at the University of Szczecin, chairman of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Management at the University of Szczecin.
He is the author and co-author of over 150 scientific publications in the field of energy management, energy security, logistics, transport economics (including electromobility), and numerous strategic documents for economic entities from the energy and TSL sectors. In 2014, he received a special award from the Minister of Economy for the best habilitation thesis in the field of energy.
In 2021, he received the West Pomeranian Nobel Prize for outstanding achievements in economic sciences, and in 2022 he became the Scientist of the Year of the University of Szczecin.
In the years 2010-2014, he was the deputy marshal of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, being responsible for infrastructure and regional transport, energy, culture and national heritage.
From 2015 to 2022 he was associated with the Enea Capital Group, performing advisory and then management functions in Enea Operator Sp. z o. o. He was the manager of 5 research and development projects in the area of innovation in the energy sector, co-financed by the National Center for Research and Development and the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.
He is the originator of a unique field of study on a national scale – Management of renewable energy sources.
He is a member of the Association for Energy Economy of Poland (PAEE) and the International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE).
Prof. hab.dr. Andrzej Rzeczycki
Vice-Director of the Management Institute University of Szczecin
Dr. Andrzej Rzeczycki has been an employee of the Department of Logistics at the University of Szczecin since 2010. While working at the University of Szczecin, he held many positions, including co-creator and long-time manager of the Logistics Research and Analysis Laboratory, and since 2019 he has been the vice director of the Institute of Management for Education.
In his scientific career, he deals with issues related to supply chain management, logistics in energy systems, process modeling and the use of intelligent systems in logistics. He is the author of over forty publications in the field of broadly understood logistics and energetics. In 2021, he was a member of the project team regarding the development of an intelligent and maintenance-free system for stabilizing the operation of distribution power grids based on modular hydrogen energy buffer installations with the prospect of commercial use of hydrogen.

Dr. Md. Mahmudul Alam is an Associate Professor of Finance and a Senior Research Fellow
at Universiti Utara Malaysia. He also holds the position of Associate Fellow at Universiti
Teknologi MARA, Malaysia. Dr. Alam is a Registered Financial Planner and a Certified
Expert in Climate Adaptation Finance. He earned his PhD from the National University of
Malaysia (UKM) and completed postdoctoral research under the Adaptation Finance
Fellowship Programme, a joint initiative of the Frankfurt School (Germany) and TDRI
(Thailand). Dr. Alam is honoured to be included in Stanford University’s Top 2% Scientists
Worldwide 2024 and has also been ranked as the top researcher in the “Accounting &
Finance” category in Malaysia by the AD Scientific Index 2025. He was also honored by the
BDRC (USA) as one of the “Top Bangladesh Development Researchers of the Millennium”.
He has received several awards from Elsevier, Emerald, Wiley, and Web of Science. Dr.
Alam has published more than 190 journal articles and has served as a guest editor or regular
editorial board member for 24 international journals. He has more than two million readers
on various online repository platforms. His research areas encompass financial markets,
financial literacy, Islamic finance, sustainable finance, and sustainable development

A scientist with over 50 years of professional experience, including 17 years on managerial positions in business.
Assistant professor emeritus of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW in Warsaw/Poland) and a Senior Research Associate in the College of Business and Economics at the University of Johannesburg (South Africa).
He collaborates with Shanghai Lixin University SLU (Shanghai/China) and Shandong University of Finance and Economics SDUFE (Jinan/China) as a guest professor, and has visited universities in Albania, Belgium, China, Germany, Iran, Italy, Montenegro, Spain, South Africa and the USA with invited lectures and courses.
In the last years (2012-2022), he has authored or co-authored 6 books, more than 80 peer-reviewed papers and chapters (also in WoS and Scopus-listed journals), and delivered more than 120 conference papers. The Best Paper Award Winner at the Pan-African IBC 2022 conference. He has managed 4 research grants funded by Polish Authorities.

Dr Mohammad Salih Mustafa

Dr. Mohammad Salih Mustafa is the Head of the International Relations and Diplomacy Department at Tishk International University in Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and an Associate Fellow of the British Academy. He holds a PhD in Ethno-Political Studies from the University of Exeter and an MA in Near and Middle Eastern Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. His research interests include Middle Eastern Politics, religious nationalism, Islamism, Kurdish Studies, Kurdistan Region, Muslim Brotherhood, counter terrorism, and security.
Dr. Mustafa has several publications to his credit, including ‘Nationalism and Islamism in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq: the Emergence of the Kurdistan Islamic Union,’ published by Routledge (2020); ‘The Anti-Kurdish Thoughts of ISIS,’ published in the Review of Middle East Studies (2023); ‘The Trajectory and Current State of Intra-Kurdish Politics in the Kurdistan Region, the Role and Influence of Iran and Turkey,’ published in the Turkish Journal of Security Studies (2016); and ‘Iran’s Role in the Kurdistan Region,’ published in Aljazeera Centre for Studies (2016).

Joanna Studzińska

In 1999 completed the master’s studies at the Faculty of Humanities of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, in the field of history, and in 2000 – completed the master’s studies at the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin in the field of law. 8.III.2006 – obtaining an academic degree of doctor of legal sciences in the field of law. In 2016 entried on the list of legal advisors of the District Bar Association for Legal Advisors in Lublin.
In 2006 – 30.09.2017 she was the full–time assistant professor at the Department of Civil Proceedings of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin.
From 01.10.2017 – 30.09. 2019 she was full–time professor at the Department of Civil and Labour Law at the Kozminski University in Warsaw and now she is employed as full –time professor of Kozminski University in Warsaw, head of Division of civil procedings, Department of Civil Law.
From 1 February 2013 she was employed as a judge’s assistant in the Civil Chamber, now she is employed as specialist for jurisprudence in the Civil Chamber of the Supreme Court. She is the author of numerous studies and monographs. The practical experience resulting from working as an assistant judge in the Supreme Court resulted in the diversity of research conducted by Joanna Studzińska.
The most important research areas, are evidence proceedings, non–litigious proceedings; enforcement proceedings; informatization of civil proceedings; entities in civil proceedings and effective judicial protection in civil proceedings. She participated in numerous scientific conferences, and at many of them she presented papers. She conducted training for legal advisers, bailiffs.

Gary Cokins is an internationally recognized expert, speaker, and author in enterprise and corporate performance management improvement methods and business analytics. He is the founder of Analytics-Based Performance Management, an advisory firm located in Cary, North Carolina at www.garycokins.com . Gary received a BS degree with honors in Industrial Engineering/Operations Research from Cornell University in 1971. He received his MBA with honors from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management in 1974.
Gary began his career as a strategic planner with FMC’s Link-Belt Division and then served as Financial Controller and Operations Manager. In 1981 Gary began his management consulting career first with Deloitte consulting, and then in 1988 with KPMG consulting. In 1992 Gary headed the National Cost Management Consulting Services for Electronic Data Systems (EDS) now part of HP.
