Comparative Study of Some Traditional and Modern Methods of Teaching Among Undergraduate Students in Education Faculty at Tishk International University

Abstract
In order to improve our educational system, methods of language teaching should be emphasized during the teaching process, because the learning process changes every day, and it is growing rapidly and it is the most important parts of human beings, the world can be changed by educating and teaching people into both bad and good side. The traditional methods were changed to modern methods. The disparate methods of acquiring knowledge which might be either student-centered or teacher-centered exceed teaching theories. If we look at the teaching process methods in the past, conditions were involved where the material was delivered to students, and it was mostly teacher-centered. But modern studies penetrate different methods in both traditional and modern framework and it is mostly student-centered. This research is a crucial start to be awarded of using the methods, it gives much information about both traditional and modern methods, it will give their strong and weak points, and what problems they have got, also their solutions, it will give a great compare comparison between some Modern and Traditional Methods, a chance was given to the students of Education Faculty at Tishk International University, which 52 students responded to the questions of the survey, ( 51.5% ) of them were Female and ( 38.5% ) of them were male, and ( 34.4% ) of them were from Mathematics department, (9.6% ) from physics, ( 19.2% ) from biology, and ( 36.5% ) from English Language Teaching, the result will be discussed in the following pages. The result mostly proved that Modern Methods are mostly common in today’s teaching process, especially Communicative Language Teaching, as it is clear in the questionnaire, most of the students prefer the techniques of Modern Methods, and it is widely used at Tishk International University, and also Modern Methods are the most effective methods to be used.
