Abstract: Minorities’ rights are parts Human rights. As these rights need to be included in the legal program of the states in order to make these rights more familiar to other communities. To achieve the protection of the minorities’ rights, a mechanism must be fulfilled. These rights include cultural rights, religion and minorities languages. Minorities have a real right to participate equally in the authority to order decisions. They deserve to have a protected respectable life far from any discrimination violation in society.
The international conventions and treaties worked as well on the protection of cultural, language and religion of the minorities in the worldwide. In the International Declaration of the Human Rights 1948, granted numbers of rights to minorities. It emphasizes in Article 2 to benefit from the rights granted in this declaration without discrimination of sex, color, language, religion or political or none political views.
Iraq as one of the countries that its populations and residents are consist of different ethnics of religion, language and different culture, specifically the component of the big cities such as Mosel, Baghdad, Basra, Erbil and Kirkuk, which is a sign of co-existence.
The Iraqi Constitution mentions the above components and tries to protect their rights within legal text.
