This study aims at investigating the influence of using<br \/>\nnanoparticles of SiO2 to improve the behavior of recycled aggregate concrete (RAC)<br \/>\ncontaining recycled aggregate (RA) derived from processing construction and<br \/>\ndemolition waste of concrete buildings. The examined properties included<br \/>\ncompressive strength and the microstructure of RA and RAC with and without<br \/>\nnanoparticles of SiO2. Nine mixes: one control mix with natural aggregate without<br \/>\nnanoparticles, two mixes with RA at 50% and 100% contents (without<br \/>\nnanoparticles) and three mixes for each content of RA with nanoparticles content of<br \/>\n0.4, 0.8 and 1.2% (by mass of cement) were investigated.
