He has extensive knowledge and a keen interest in Medical Geology, Petroleum Geochemistry, Ore Geology, Cosmic Geochemistry, Solar System and Climatology, and Environmental Studies. He is an academician who works for the Geology Department, College of Science, the University of Baghdad. He has served as Editor-in-Chief of the Iraqi Geological Journal (Scopus) Since 2015. More than 30 theses (MSc and Ph.D.) have been supervised under his guidance.
