Prof. Dr. Ni Nyoman Tri Puspaningsih, M.Si is the Vice Rector for Research, Innovation and Community Development Universitas Airlangga. 
Not only as the Vice Rector, Prof. Nyoman is also the Head of Research Center for Bio-Molecule Engineering Universitas Airlangga. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Prof. Nyoman also worked as the coordinator for the COVID-19 research product at UNAIR.
The position is in line with the research done by Prof. Nyoman in the last five years that is dominated by research about biological molecular engineering and Covid-19. The latest research by Prof. Nyoman was titled “Analysis of SARS COV-2 Variant Spike Protein from Indonesia and its Effect on the Affinity of the Receptor Binding Domain”, was done in 2020.
Various experience in biological molecular engineering and Covid-19 made Prof. Nyoman be invited as the speaker in various activities. One of them is in 2020, Prof. Nyoman was invited as a speaker at the international webinar titled “Ending The Pandemic Covid-19: Effort and Challenges” that the Ministry of Health held. Furthermore, Prof. Nyoman has also achieved many achievements, among them is the achievements of the Tahir Professorship Award in 2018 and Adjunct Professor in Asia University Taiwan in 2018.
