Abstract: Polycystic ovary syndrome is an endocrine disorder in which the number of cysts in women’s ovaries is dramatically increased. It is a principle factor behind different symptoms and problems. Although non-life threatening, it may lead to some disease processes in later life. This study aimed to examine the alterations of luteinizing hormone, follicle stimulating hormone, testosterone and prolactin levels with increased levels of depression in polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) patients.
